Mekong Blue Scarves are produced by the Stung Treng Women’s Development Center (SWDC), a not-for-profit organization in Cambodia that helps the women and children of Cambodia’s Stung Treng region. Since 2002, the women of the SWDC have woven scarves as a way to overcome poverty and illiteracy and provide better lives for themselves and their children by learning a trade and skill in a supportive and fair working environment.

Since its inception, the SWDC has directly supported more than 400 women, 395 children and 50 men from the Stung Treng region through education, vocational training and employment.
